About Me
I am a senior at Liberty High School, located in Liberty, Missouri. Currently, I am the Editor-in-Chief of The Bell newspaper. I joined The Bell in August of 2023 and will continue through May 2026. Throughout my time on staff, I have made my contributions to the paper such as reporting, designing and editing. I have built leadership skills and have experience with Adobe InDesign and Illustrator.

Internship Experience
I also contribute to journalism outside of school. This year, I started an internship with TeenTix KC as a PressCorp member. In my internship, I write journalistic reviews on arts events. So far, I have one review published in KC Studio Magazine through this internship. Currently, I am the only peer editor on the team.

Outside of the Newsroom
Outside of journalism, I take classes at Metropolitan Community College through the Early College program in hopes of graduating with my associate’s degree. I am also a second-year member of the National Honor Society and have a part-time job working as a barista at Scooter’s Coffee. But most importantly, I also have a passion for dancing. I have been a ballet dancer my whole life and I practice this art form 12 hours a week and I just got to perform the role of the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker this last December.
Future Plans
Once I graduate, I plan to attend a four-year college or university to study journalism, ballet or to double major in both fields. I have applied and gotten into the Mizzou School of Journalism, but I am still undecided as to which school I will attend. Studying both ballet and journalism will help me decide what career I take on after college. It is a dream of mine to work for a major magazine, whether that is designing, editing or reporting. However, I also would love to become a professional ballerina. I have also thought of reporting on arts and entertainment, including ballet, to combine both of my passions.
